Renki Out of the Pack, Goes to Live with Dad…

Renki, the lowest ranking pack-member, was ousted on November 30, 2009 by Wotan, Wolfgang and Kailani. We had hoped he could have stayed in with the pack longer, but such ‘decisions’ are often made by the wolves, not by us. Renki had a long history of being a very aggressive wolf and when he was forcefully knocked down a few pegs from the beta to the omega position in the pack back in February 2007, by Wotan and Wolfgang, everybody but Renki felt a sigh of relief. Renki never did settle down comfortably into his new position in the pack, but he always had his father, Tristan to help back him up. When Tristan was deposed, once again by Wotan and Wolfgang, on July 3, 2009, Renki lost the only wolf who would help him. Slowly but surely, Renki became more and more peripheral in the pack, isolating himself from the others. Then one late November afternoon he managed to get himself into a lot of trouble. Fortunately, staff were nearby and were able to distract and then lock the rest of the pack up so we could safely remove Renki before he became badly injured (he had a few bites on his lower back and one cut above his left eye).
Renki still had a good relationship with Tristan so guess what, he moved back in with dad… He also has a good relationship with his sister, Ayla. Currently he is spending time with both and eventually we hope to move Ayla in with the boys, but so far Tristan is not too keen on this idea as he finds Ayla rather obnoxious…
