Socrates in last light
January 2006, 30th
Photographed on December 2, 2004, Socrates poses nicely as the sun sets below the horizon. The light at this time of day becomes quite spectacular, but there is little to work with. I had my slower 100-400mm lens and with that, I had only 1/160 sec exposure at a relatively grainy ISO of 800. Fortunately, the lens is an Image Stabilizing lens and Socrates was holding still.
