Miska sticks his tongue out
January 2001, 30th
Finally a sunny day -- not all that common here in Indiana in December. The pond has frozen over nicely and the wolves are enjoying winters' chill, but I like sun to photograph the wolves, especially with the digital camera.
Here is a photograph of Miska, beta male of the pack, standing out on the ice late on a December afternoon. December 8th to be exact.
Tongue flicks are sometimes given as an appeasement gesture, but sometimes they just happen ;-)
