Tristan on Ice

Well furred feet give wolves excellent traction, even on a frozen pond. Another December 8th 2000 photograph. In the late afternoon, as the sun sets, the ice picks up a beautiful blue tint. The only problem was getting the wolves to pose out on the ice. They go out there often, but of course when one wants to take a photograph, they do not always cooperate. So I filled a pocked with dog kibble and that is why Tristan's head is lowered. I tossed some out there and he was sniffing around for treats!
