Watermelon Wolves

A lot of people are surprised to hear that wolves like watermelon!
Well, think about it, although carnivores, dogs like fruits and
vegetables to a certain extent and they are nothing more than
domesticated wolves!
Actually, wolves are usually a lot more picky about what they eat than
dogs, but most wolves do exhibit somewhat of a sweet-tooth. Many fruits
are munched on by wolves and we recently found that most of them love
those little peppermint candies :-)
However, we keep candy to a bare minimum (can't risk those nice white
teeth of theirs) but a watermelon every once and awhile during the hot
Indiana summers is quite safe and enjoyable by the wolves.
This is another photograph taken by Monty Sloan with Dr.Klinghammer's
Nikon coolpix digital camera. However, outside of resizing and adding
text to the image, nothing had to be done because it was therwise
'perfect' ;-)
